It has been recognised in several high profile studies that we need to start preparing our young people for their futures earlier. The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) has also announced that it will be publishing a report on primary enterprise education in Spring 2009.
The EBP intends to build upon its past experience of providing enterprise activities in both primary and secondary education to enable all young people in Lincolnshire and Rutland to benefit from a strategic and integrated embedded enterprise education. The provision of high quality enterprise education activities and resources for primary pupils will ease the transition to secondary education providing our young people with valuable skills and attributes to take forward with them throughout their school lives and beyond.
The EBP offers a wide range of high quality enterprise education activities and resources for primary pupils. The Hands Up For Enterprise project has been running successfully since November 2007, offering enterprise activity days to key stage 1 and 2 pupils. Each activity has clear links to the curriculum and can be adapted to suit the needs of the school and the pupils.
